I have a feed store type coop, with the coop top and the run on bottom. I thought I might put the heat lamp on one side of the run, because I figured it was a fire hazard in the actual coop part. The run is 8ft by 3ft so there's definitely room for them to move around. Thanks!
Hello, is it okay to raise baby chicks outside with all their food and water of course, in a chicken coop with a 250 watt red heat light? Wanting to raise them next to my adult chickens so I can mix the flocks together later. Thanks!
I wasn't talking about moving the chickens i have into a new coop. O haI have 5 chickens in a big one and was going to get three more for it, and get a second coop that i an use as a brooder for six chickens then asking if it was possible to keep 3 chickens in it.
Because the big chicken coop I have already has chickens in it. I was going to get 3 more chickens for it, then get another chicken coop so i can have a few more chickens.
I already have a large coop as I stated above. I am just wanting a small chicken coop for like 3 more chickens, and that I can raise some chicks in the beginning to replenish my flock for ones that have dies. I was not counting nest box space Btw. Thanks
Sorry, by 24 square feet I was talking about one that is the coop compartment on top of the run, so it included all of it. I live in a southern climate where it never really gets that cold. I was getting a second smaller chicken coop because i only want a few and I don't want to buy another big...
Hello, I am wondering if a 24 square foot chicken coop is big enough for 3 chcikens? That's 8 feet each, (not counting food and water) and i let them out to range on my property 1-2 times a week. I also give them lots of scraps (lettuce, spinach, strawberry tops, celery, ect.) About 3 times a...
