Just joined, although I've read several threads and articles from BYC. I've had backyard hens for about 2 years.

I'm pretty sure this is fowl pox, but would like some confirmation from others:

I recently had a young hen pass a bound egg. Lots of water and electrolytes helped tremendously. I just used Gatorade, and the soft egg passed within 6 hours. Used a syringe (no needle!) to make sure she drank it.
