    Thanks for all the information. Since I have posted here last time we have taken on a 10 mo rir roo and a mating pair of br also 10 mo we have the roosters separated and the bared rock hen has laid 5 eggs but her roo ate one . Bad news but it was put in his own coop so we can hatch a clutch...

    I'm just west of cameron about 3 miles in Petibone we have gotten 5.8 inches in 2 days . Coop is taking on water sooo looks like we're going to clean out the chips and add a couple of tons of sand then more chips

    We originally got the chickens for the eggs . The eggs we can't handle we will give them to the grandparents. Un needed chickens will either be sold or stewed. I apologize for the misunderstood information earlier 31 chickens total.

    Did the same thing to my wife. She asked for leghorn pullets and they gave her Cornish rocks. To her defense they were very similar until they were 2 weeks old

    Lol I can relate I went in to get 6 pullet and ended up with 4 dozen after several trips to the feed store . It is the wife's fault for sure. After giving some away we are down to 26. I think she is finally happy
