the chick that pipped and zipped died at 5 am it had started i left it alone and by 3pm i checked it and its beak was sticking outta shell and was dead. :( it never even finished its zip. do you think my humidity is to high? i'm at 60% i keep reading and everyone says a different percent to use... -

I need some advice from someone who know button quails. I own a pair of one year button quails. I just for my first time used a incubator. My female looses interest after a bit of laying on her eggs. So i started with 7 eggs all a day apart as she only lays one a day. So far only one has hatched... -

sadly chick has died, just wish i knew what happened with it, was fully formed egg sac absorbed just didnt hatch out :( i have five more left wish i knew if i was doing something wrong each egg is a day apart i still have time to help them. don't want to loose any more- donna74

I am a first time foster mom of chinese button quails. I own parents but they won't sit on own eggs so I used a incubator. The first egg pipped and has chipped a line down half of fat end.
