Thank you so much these are great ideas. I had planned on having a movable coop but it is to heavy to move about now we have finished the build. I will put the grass bag on my mower and catch the clippings to sprinkle in the run.

Does anyone know the laws in Ontario for owning a coop in a small community. I called bylaw once and they said we don't live in the correct area to win chickens. But I wonder if there would be a fine or if I would have to get rid of my hens. I have 6 Wyandotte 8 weeks old and 14 weeks old...
At what age would you recommend I let them out in the yard? They have a pen but I also have a large fenced in back yard that is chihuahua proof so unless they fly over I think they would be ok?
Good evening, My name is Jess and my family and I live in Fenelon Falls ,Ontario, Canada. We just purchased 6 Wyandotte hens yesterday. 4 are 8 week old and 2 are 14 weeks old. All 6 are in the coop now. All happy and eating when I went out to say hello at 6:30am today. Can't wait to watch them...
