    Thank you so much these are great ideas. I had planned on having a movable coop but it is to heavy to move about now we have finished the build. I will put the grass bag on my mower and catch the clippings to sprinkle in the run.

    Hi :) Does anyone know the laws in Ontario for owning a coop in a small community. I called bylaw once and they said we don't live in the correct area to win chickens. But I wonder if there would be a fine or if I would have to get rid of my hens. I have 6 Wyandotte 8 weeks old and 14 weeks old...

    We will be done the chicken wire tomorrow and have to hang the door and then the run will be ready. I'm nervous to let them walk the yard

    At what age would you recommend I let them out in the yard? They have a pen but I also have a large fenced in back yard that is chihuahua proof so unless they fly over I think they would be ok?

    Good evening, My name is Jess and my family and I live in Fenelon Falls ,Ontario, Canada. We just purchased 6 Wyandotte hens yesterday. 4 are 8 week old and 2 are 14 weeks old. All 6 are in the coop now. All happy and eating when I went out to say hello at 6:30am today. Can't wait to watch them...
