Day two with our first flock!

Good evening, My name is Jess and my family and I live in Fenelon Falls ,Ontario, Canada. We just purchased 6 Wyandotte hens yesterday. 4 are 8 week old and 2 are 14 weeks old. All 6 are in the coop now. All happy and eating when I went out to say hello at 6:30am today. Can't wait to watch them grow and collect my first egg and many more to come.

At what age would you recommend I let them out in the yard? They have a pen but I also have a large fenced in back yard that is chihuahua proof so unless they fly over I think they would be ok?

I let my chicks out at 2 weeks weather permitting. So they are defiantly fine to go out now.

We will be done the chicken wire tomorrow and have to hang the door and then the run will be ready. I'm nervous to let them walk the yard

If they can't get out and nothing can get in they will be fine.
