Was wondering if you still have the roosters, we are especially interested in the Brahma. Hubby even said we could take all 3 if you still needed to get rid of them. Please let me know
So we have a couple of silkworm nests in our pecan tree. We know that our babies LOVE mealworms but are unsure if they can have silk worms....does anyone know if its safe to give them silk wotms?
Our chicken run above the coop is covered while the other half is not and we leave our coop door open 24/7. The chickens go in at night and come out in the morning. We went camping one weekend made sure everyone had food and water to last until we got back and managed to still have everyone...
We have 8 chickens and 2 ducks in our flock. 6 Rhode Island Reds, possibly 2 Black Sex Links, a supposidly Buff Orpington duck and a possible Mallard Duck. They are a handful but we love them anyways. WELCOME to BYC! We dont know much but everyone here seems eager to help!
So Tweety has grown into its beautiful dirty white feathers and has a really loud quack. Duck duck has gotten a tinge of blue on its winds and only squeeks still no quack. (Older picture of duck duck. Cant get it to stand still long enough to take a photo) What are we?
So out little black asian female chicks have proven to be all but strait black. Reese has gotten brown in her feathers and Raven is all black except her chest is turning out like Reese's color pattern. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hubby had said something about setting the coop up on some boards so they wouldnt go bad so fast when we were putting it together. we kind of forgot to put them out once all the chaos was done. Will have to remind him again when we get more time to work on it.
the middle run above the coop has a cover over it, we will have chicken wire over the top of the sides, they are still in the house atm because they are still getting their feathers. but we are still setting it up. and was wanting everything to be good to go for them.
Ok so we have a coop set up, we have the run set up as well. We are using our old dog kennel panels with chicken wire around it to keep nasty critters away.
My question is...... We know that Chickens need to dust bathe and need grit as do our ducks. Where we have our coop yard at, there is no...

they are slowly getting there and at times sound like a dying squeak toy and every now and then they bark.
We don't mind it too much but would rather have a Quack than a squeak or female turkey chatter.
