how tall is your grow outs roof? I have hat similar problem till I raised the roof and used soft flexable plastic roofing you can also pad the roof with soft foam like they ship eggs in.. sorry for your loss..

Also keep brooder or "tub' off the ground like on a table ..the warm bottom has a lot to do with it ...and NO drafts...I hatched over 100 mountains this year in groups of 15 and lost 6 first hatch and now am down to losing maybe 0 or 1....mountains are worth it!

Thats what I thought, but a report on gamebird breeding by University of California, said " to wash and disinfect each eggbefore incubating", hhhhhmmmmm?

is it good to use a disinfectant egg wash, before incubatiing valley eggs.?
