    I took my second RIR roo to a chicken swap to swap for a hen. Does anyone have a guess if this is a hen or another roo, or what breed it is? This bird postures for the other Roos where it was. I think it’s about 14 weeks old.

    i'm not sure of the cayenne issue but my girls (10 Golden comets and 2 ??) have been giving me 10 to 12 eggs a day all winter and we are in southern ME.     Thank you for info...I'm so very new to this 'chickens' thing....I did read some of the info on color sex links and my eyes started to cross...(i will review) do I understand, that many breeds can combine to "X" but not knowing the parents limits determining which breed?
