    12 week old bantams...

Back again! Our new flocks are doing well. Our OEG Bantam Roos are crowing away, and our 8 week old set of chicks are doing great too... Would like some conformation on the sex of our 2 feather footed bantams... We thought the porcelain a pullet, and the mille fleur a roo... Any thoughts? No...

Our Little bantam brood at 21+ days...

We think so too...it would be nice if #3 wasn't, but I'm not so sure... #4 Is the tiniest of all the chicks... Also the sweetest of all 8. Falls asleep in our hands.

    Our little Bantam Brood

Well, if that is the case, and the 6 are all the same, then we most likely have 4 hens and 2 roos among those. Jury is still out on the other 2 feather footed chicks. Do bantam roos behave better than full sized roos if there is more than 1? Or is it more of a breed specific thing?

    Our little Bantam Brood

I love how quickly they grow and feathers fill in. I don't know if anyone can tell yet, but any thoughts appreciated. The pasted butt issue has gone away...yay! I'm thinking the one yellow/white chick may be a Splash Cochin? No idea on any of the others. The 2 with the feathered feet are...

    Our little Bantam Brood

Update...on the bantam babes... Doing well. There is one whose vent is constantly plugged and needs a wipe. Seems perfectly healthy though. Do they outgrow that? First 3 pics are of that chick...hence the wet bum. This little yellow one is a doll....if I'm correct and this and the previous...

    Our little Bantam Brood

2 week 15+ days....new pics in comments. Any guesses as to breeds yet? I'm guessing too early on gender. 1 week update pics in the comments... I know they are too young to tell just about anything, but they are so cute and I thought I would add pics to this thread as they grow. Anything...

Looks like our barred plymouth rocks....I can't remember what, but I think the yellow spot on the head can help with sexing these when they are little...I'll have to look back at my notes...
