I know, I'm thinking the same. I'm growing impatient as I'm just so excited. They are all so pretty and I love watching their colors and markings change as they grow.
How's it working out? I was rather nervous about my big girls not accepting my little ones but they seem extremely unphased. I have the little ones in an old XL dog crate and the banties can slip through the grates and seem to prefer being with the big girls. So I'm fully integrating them all today.
We do eat a lot of eggs and let me tell you having a bunch on hand is great for a quick dish to share. ive been getting my money's worth out of my deviled egg plates when we go to get togethers!
Junebugg I was thinking the same. I did a wing check when we first brought them home and these two I pegged for roos from the start. The first one I'm calling George because he's so curious.
Leah we have 7 adult ladies and now these 10 chicks. We have more eggs than we know what to do with as...
I was thinking both were roos but really wasn't sure. They behave like adolescent boys lol as they are rather pushy.
Here's a pic of the whole "baby" flock. We really lucked out and got some gorgeous birds! I'm excited to see the banties full grow as they are starting to get really pretty as well.
Thank you. I'm really enjoying the site, learning about chickens and being a chicken mom. I'm a crazy researcher so reading the forum threads and all the information to be found is exciting!
