Thanks so much for the advice! I’ve had chickens for about 10 years, but I’m just now trying to make a small business out of it by selling eggs and chickens.
Hello!
I just wondered what you would charge for a pair.
I have 8 male and 8 female and I need to get rid of some boys! I thought it might be easier if I sell some as a m/f pair rather than trying to sell just roos. They are almost 4 months old.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I know this is an older post, but I sure wish I knew this last fall! I was going through my worm composting bin and cleaning up any yuck before I moved it inside for the winter. I found a ton of those in the bin. I would’ve kept them for the chickens!!
Thanks! I’ll check out the YouTube channel. I think I’ve seen it before.
I don't know why I’m so caught up with egg rollouts. I think it would be easier and keep the Jumpy McJumpersons calmer haha!

Hey! I bought 10 “assorted colored egg layers” from Hoovers hatchery. They are all happy and healthy at 3 weeks old.
There seem to be maybe 4 or 5 different patterns and I’d love some help identifying the breeds if you can help.
I’m sorry the picture isn’t great. I had just wrangled them into my...
No she can’t walk. Her legs and feet have gotten stronger over this time, but she can’t hold herself up.
Thanks for your reply. I was kind of thinking of the same thing. I’ll continue the vitamins and see what happens.
So at the beginning of June, my little bantam (unknown breed) was attacked by her coop mates, protecting her baby I believe. I found her in the morning and brought her and baby inside. The whole back of her head and neck was injured, no skin and raw. I cleaned her up and treated her wounds and...
Thanks for your post! I’m in Winston Salem so my main concern is my yard flooding. I have 6 chickens in a coop where they can roost and 2 ducks that I think will be ok. I’m thinking of bringing my 5 sizzles into the garage because their temporary area (that is more permanent at this time due to...
