    My new girls!

I looked at the picture again. I think it’s an illusion because I’ve been obsessive about making sure the water was clean. It’s a clear Tupperware top so the shavings you are seeing are under the lid not in it... that being said I know there has to be a better. Easier way.

Hello Everyone, my new girls came today! We are so excited. Just wanted to share pics. Also, what did y’all use to give your new baby chicks water in the beginning? . I’m using the lid of a Tupperware bowl and refilling it several times a day. Any suggestions other wise? I originally had a...

Getting ready for my new baby chicks!

Thank you! I have a coop ready for them. Unfortualy, I lost my girls last month to a predictor. The mistake we made was not putting underwire under the run, we had big stones around it, but we had a plumber come to run water to the run and he removed one of the stones.. we didn’t know until it...

Hello everyone, My baby chicks should be arriving from Meyer Hatchery next week. I have the basic supplies: container, feeders, light, Is there anything I’m missing? Am I supposed to vaccinate them? I’m not familiar with all that. The last chickens I bought were from Trackor supply.. so I’m new...

Can someone tell me what breed I have?

I posted pics a few weeks ago and was told that my chicks look like Cinnamon queens/red sex links? I'm still new at all of this and learning different breeds etc... I want to post another pic now that they are a little older and get your feed back. Thank you! I love this site!

    Rain/Storms

Hello Everyone, Last week I moved my chicks to their coop and all is well so far (except I'm having to put them up at night).... but other than that they seem to be adjusting. However, we are expected to get a lot of rain and possibly severe storms today and tomorrow. Should I make them go In...
