    Small duckling, worried

    I have 5 runner ducklings, 1 is about half the size of the biggest duckling. It appears in good health other than being small. Anything I need to watch out for? Could it be that 4 are boys and this is a girl? They are 18 days old.

    I have 3 ex bats. 1 Hybrid white hen, 2 bantam frizzles, 2 other bantam. I had chickens for about 8 years but ducks for only a year! How about you? What do you have? I can't find a pic of my black frizzle bantam right now but see pics for my others ❤️

    new to hatching ducks, first duckling seems weak.. :(

    Someone with more experience will hopefully answer you as I'm not sure. I did not experience anything similar with my babies, I do know that it's hard work on the chicks hatching so I'd expected them to lack energy when first born. Fingers crossed for you :)

    Age for first swim?

    Hi, I'm just wondering what age should runner ducklings have their first swim? Mine have been hatched under a broody hen so I'm worried they have no oil on their feathers yet. They are a week old today.
