I’ve never done this before so want to make sure I do this right. The 7 chickens (no rooster) have 1/3 of my barn so would I just make something and put it on the floor? Would she protect the babies from the other chickens or should I remove them altogether from their area?
Hi I need some information. I have one male and female Indian Runner ducks and I put 6 eggs under a broody hen. If my calculations are right I may have ducklings next week. They are in her nesting box so not on the ground. I’m worried they’ll fall out when they hatch so I put a rabbit cage...
Thank you. I’m being really careful with them. Last year was really bad with the flies but I didn’t have the rabbits then. The farmer had left his manure pile unattended for so long I called the county to complain. It was awful.
Thank you just so bizarre. These are my almost two month olds... the only litter that made it. I’m hoping this litter will be ok too. I’m just doing a temporary wrap with a tent screen.
They were super clean and I have a few. Another rabbit gave birth a week before and she neglected hers and they died but they didn’t have any. Seriously the night before they were ok and the next morning were skeletons. I’d show pics but I think people would be grossed out.
She’s definitely pregnant and has this all built by this morning. Also I’m showing the cage in the middle which has a breeding box for each. Should I wrap it in netting to keep the flies off the upcoming babies?
