Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

One other question if ya don't mind. My rsl ginger. The one in the picture. Hasn't laid a single egg since she moved in with the youngins. I'm not sure of her age, but what do you think about her comb color?

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

So there isn't any covert pecking happening? It makes a lot of sense because I've watched them for hours and haven't seen anything of that nature. So my wife blue koted them for no reason? Lol

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

So first pic is Rex. Our 9 week old rooster. Second is our polish hen dot missing feathers, she is also 9 weeks. Third is our hen ginger who is older and hasn't laid an egg since the rest came out. Not sure of her age. Fourth is ginger again showing her comb just to see if anyone thinks she's...

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

My run is 660 square feet and my coop is 42 square but it's nine feet tall so there is plenty of roost space. I hope rodents aren't the issue. If so I have to fire my barn cat lol. I wouldn't have thought that young of a rooster could get grabby. Although your explanation makes a lot of sense...

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

They are on crumble and there is food in the coop over night the majority of the time, but I go to work before they are done roosting and open it back up

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

Wow, thanks for the info. My wife put on some blue kote this evening just in case. Not sure if it's the best but it was the only thing available. I just can't believe that my full grown queen hen is getting picked on by 9 weekers. Maybe the youngsters are tired of her bossiness haha. My polish...

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

What are your thoughts on blue kote? I find it crazy that someone is picking at ginger the rsl she's full grown and has been the boss. I guess times are changing lol

This is just the tip of the feather in their skin. No feather on it at all

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

Ok,I wasn't thinking about that because I didn't think they molted as pullets. That would explain why my older rsl has similar feather loss with quills remaining. The only weird thing is that there is only 2 polish and my rsl

Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

Hi all, I have a mix of bsl, polish, EE,and australorp chickens that are 9 weeks old. We also have a rsl of unknown age. A few days ago I noticed a couple of feathers missing on two of my polish chickens necks. The quills were still in though. I assumed it was my rsl ginger being the...

Buff laced polish? Male or femal

That was my guess but some of her behavior had me second guessing my newbie self. Would you call her a buff or a buff laced?

Buff laced polish? Male or femal

Yeah I figured that might be an issue. These were ones I had on my phone already. The misses is out back now taking some better ones. He/she is about 7 weeks. At first it looked like a buff but now it's showing some lace pattern. I hope it stays

Hi all I thought I had a buff polish female, but now I'm unsure if it's not a buff laced male. Any ideas?

Red sex link acting strange after going missing.

The only thing different from when she disappeared is my newest chicks are now outside, but they are in a run with a coop. But the broody thing could make sense. I don't have a rooster that's old enough to mate, but she does free range and a few of my neighbors do have chickens

Red sex link acting strange after going missing.

She didn't run off but she tried roosting in her go to tree but is still too weak to get up there so I put her in my spare chicken tractor for the night. Now I'm wondering if I did the wrong thing
