    he has yellow discharge coming out of his nostrils, it is dry once is comes out. he breathes loudly making a bit of a puffing sound and his tail bobs up and down while he breathes. but yes, he is eating a lot and he is also drinking.

    i have had my parakeet for about 2 weeks now, the place i got him from said he is a “baby” but i would like to know how many months he really is. is there any way to decide how old he really is? i know he is a male.

    i put some rice in a sock, put it in for about 20 seconds. it was hot so i let it cool a bit and put it in the cage, he is loving it! he is currently sitting on top of it

    I put the water into a baggie, and put two more around it, then I put two perches next to each other(maybe a three inch gap) and put the baggie in the middle. He snuggled right up to it! Thank you for the idea!

    He’s eating like crazy! I put him in front of the food container and he is loving it. The pet store clipped his wings and I think he can’t move around the cage well.. or he may be too weak to do so. I’m going to try and get him to drink water

    His first night in was a success! Over the night his breathing was fine, it just comes up every once in a while. I’m heading out today to get vitamins and anything else I can find for his problem. I might even get them a few toys to keep him company (: he is doing fine, and is still perching.
