We treated her just a couple minutes ago. Her eye is red and glazed with nasty film. Her head also smells. She was seeming very bad, so we hope the medicine takes action in time. Pray for her.
I went out and checked her today. I discovered that there is snot coming from her nose, and the eye that is watery is now red and she keeps it closed. She is still very sluggish. I'm so stressed out and don't know what to do!
We tried giving our sick chickens medicine, and it did not go well. One of our hens died from a seizure because of it. Do you think it will be ok to leave nature to take its course?
No I have not noticed nasal drainage. I will check her crop tomorrow. In the morning she is especially sluggish. She is getting Dumor laying feed and cracked corn.
4and 1/2 months old, welsummer,3 other chickens with her, others acting usual if not better, poop normal as far as I know, pink comb as usual, clear coat of water over eyes. Also her head has an odor. She has always smelled since we got her. We have had her for almost 3 months, and not had any...
Hi, one one my hens who is almost laying is sick. She is sneezing, breathing heavy, has watery eyes, and is very lethargic. She eats and drinks still. I was wondering if this is fatal or not. Please let me know.
Thanks, we are not sure if she broke her neck trying to wriggle under the pen, because another one of the younger hens had gotten out. She has had a respiratory sickness too so she may have died during the night because of that.
One of my hens was sick and we found her dead this morning. We are not sure where to send her to figure out what disease she had or how she died. I live in South Carolina. Please let me know!
We found one of our sick hens dead this morning. We also found one of our other chickens out so we think the dead one may have been trying to get out and broke its neck. Will you send me the contact info for the state vet so we can have the body tested for sickness?
