I feed kayerpellets 17% but in my thread yesterday people were saying that the hen had vitamin deficiency so I’m trying to keep these from getting it... look at my other thread
I’m giving my chickens vitamins in their water because my hen died yesterday and wanna do everything I can to keep them healthy and I want to know if I can eat their eggs even with the vitamins
I have had them since they hatched under my oldest hens and they developed slowly and for the 90% I have feather sexed them too late some times.... it can be hard to judge after 5-6 weeks with feather sexing
Take the chick and put it in one hand and with the other hand spread out a wing.... if your chick has two layers (probably does), check the bottom layer of feathers for a “break” in the feather row or a “missing” feather in the row.... if it has a “missing” one it’s a roo if not ur in luck it’s...
Lime has killed he mites for my paw paw when he was a chicken farmer... plus it’s cheaper because I don’t have the money right now.... taxes haven’t come back
Take a chick and put it in one hand, take your other hand and spread a wing of your choice out, if the chick has two layers of feathers, check for a “missing” feather in between the row of feathers on the bottom layer. If a feather is “missing” it’s a roo if not it’s a hen.... good luck and keep...
