After searching for keywords over nine pages of information I feel okay posting to ask for this info.
I have a nurture right 360 which has a turner motor that is burned out.
The incubator is only being used for its second year but I definitely need to replace the motor and I was wondering if...
Feeling posty. Here is my TopKnot roo! None of my TopKnot chickens seem to have tails... My lovely Sultan! I had a white one too but he got nabbed by a raccoon.

Just sharing some of my triumphs, failures, joys and sorrows while starting up my first batch of quail! Equal parts jubilance and some disturbing descriptions of chick injuries and non-hatches.
So, my friend and I ordered some quail hatching eggs about 2 months back off of Etsy. They were Jubmo...
My 'other' is that I just didn't feel right not having chickens. Grew up with them, didn't have any for my service time and while I lived in the city, but as soon as I had even a quarter acre I bought chicks again to start over. I love my birds!
Dio is back to his crabby, strutting self. All good here, but thanks for the advice and especially the link! I finally know where there is a decent local vet who will at least take a look at my chickens so there will be less trouble if I have future issues. Haven't had any more chicken attacks...
He does not seem to have any trouble with ballance while walking, but he did the struggle initially with jumping up from rung to rung on their perches. No problems now though.
It has been a Long long time since I did an update, but Dio is still doing fantastic. He pulled through with no relapse and is currently the Boss Roo in my tiny bird flock! He still flirts with the ladies, just drags the remaining wing to show off. The ladies are suitably impressed based on the...
Dio update! He is doing fantastic and continues to mend well. Thank you all for the tips and moral support. He really is one of my favorite little roosters and I would have been so heartbroken to lose him... I will try to get some pictures up of him all healthy (sans the wing) once he is ready...
I would lean toward pullets. When I had Silkies, the roosters already had much more pronounced walnut combs even at a few months old and the hens were more flat like your two kids there. No guarantees of course, but if I were a betting person I would say hens.
It is possible that my kids just...
For training, she was just raised with horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and cats. She kind of decided that all of these creatures were hers to guard and protect. I guess you could call it immersive training, but there was no extra work that we did with her. Not sure I would trust her with my...
