One of my chicks that hatched today is not putting its foot down quite right and not really putting weight on it. I’m not sure what to do, please help. All advice is greatly appreciated
I doubt it will ever make a full recovery unfortunately, but I really admire your kindness in rescuing her. She's getting a better chance at life thanks to you :hugs
He/she looks most comfortable with the weight off the legs so I'd definitely try making some sort of sling that her legs can...
If you can't handle your German shepherd well enough to prevent her from fighting with other dogs then you are not ready to get another puppy, your German shepherd could kill a puppy very easily. I've had to see a dog put to sleep for killing a puppy. It was a very awful and traumatic...
I'm sure I've asked plenty of silly things so don't worry lol.
I don't think it'll make a difference for the corn to be raw or boiled. Ive tried giving corn husks before but mine didn't eat the husks. Not sure if silk and husks are a no no, I've never thought about that.
You should probably...
Has your girls started laying yet? I'm so I love with your girls too :love. I want to breed mine to look like that, their are none like that where I live.
Also, might seem like a random question but what did yours look like as chicks? Did they have stripes on the back or solid dark?
I'm so glad someone else understands it's the owners fault for allowing their dog to bark incessantly!
It's amazing what the Landry room does or even just a taking the dog in a circle when they dont stop after being told. Works like magic! That and exercise are the keys to fixing a nonstop...
She's absorbed all the yolk, just some dried up stuff hanging from her belly button now.
I also gave her some electrolytes because she lost a lot of blood in the incubator.
She's eating and drinking really well now, just so much smaller than the other chicks and her legs are really thin like...
Thank you so much! She's almost completely dry now and other chicks have hatched and hatching so I'm thinking about taking her out now to prevent others from hurting her. i have a warm cup ready for her to go in with warm wet tissues. So nervous to pick her up, I don't want to hurt her
i just got home and checked the incubator and see blood smothered everywhere and 1 chick has hatched with unabosorded yolk still attached. Please help I'm not sure what to do. How do I help her?? :hit
Just put more coconut oil on and pulled back some shell, all the veins were now absorbed and she was struggling to turn for a while but I think she's just started unzipping by herself now!! :love
Thank you all so much! I applied some coconut oil and can see the veins now so I'll wait for them to go before assisting- if she needs it. Humidity is coming down now.
Unsure when she pipped as the eggs have been jumbled up by the chicks
