Roof Overhang
Thanks for the reply and the welcome. The door is about 44” from the top of an A frame roof. I had the idea to have the chicken door slide up and down but if I have it slide left and right like you did I can put an overhang over the chicken door like you did. Thanks for the idea!- SC-Chickens

Roof Overhang
How much of a roof overhang is adequate to prevent rain from getting in the coop through the small chicken door? Someone I know who has a coop said 36”. That seems excessive to me.- SC-Chickens
