yes it is quit odd, she calls them to eat they all lay together and she makes sure they are all in at night. She has always been the top hen and quit snippy till now.
I had a broody hen so I put 4 babies under her, they are now 10 weeks old doing great. They are out with my other 4 hens, one of the other hens has decided she is going to co-parent with the moma hen. Would this stop her from laying? Neither hen is laying right now.
I separated her for 2 days during the others egg laying time, which is about a 3 hour period. Put her back in on the third day no more problems with her.
