I have given him back and she took him. She took him back earlier too tho. Both times it was right in front of the coop in the exact same area. There’s some food there but maybe she’s like no you’re not coming in with us?
Yikes this is so harsh... what’s the most humane way to handle? Should I see what happens?
This is the first time I’ve let them hatch chicks so I don’t know ... do they ever discipline them?? Lol. Could it have been being bad?
The rooster is a BCM and the one Marans hen egg is from another BCM (not cuckcoo).
It's hard to know which came out of which egg but i think the easter Egger baby is all black.
Then I have two black with a white head spot and one that's black with a yellowish face and belly.... I don't know...
Yes it does look like that’s what I got. No idea what the 1 percent is then... probably shouldn’t try to give him any. It says 99 percent pure... I don’t know if it’s acidified or even what that means either
Just new to this and it’s what the feed store said when I asked about antibiotics :/. I tried some vet rx and separated him. I don’t see any lesions or even any mucus. He started crowing funny and then lost his voice. Then got purple and tired.
The only thing I can think that happened is we...
i have a rooster that currently has a black comb and struggling with breathing. I read I should use copper sulphate in their water. I bought some on amazon and it has all kinds of warnings about being poisonous and wearing protective gear etc... did I get the wrong thing???
