Rescued 2 adult chickens and snuck them in on the roosts tonight! Not sure what to do in the morning... can't really separate the coop or run with snow everywhere
Just wondering if windows I have in my coop can b left open in winter for ventilation or is that too low?
Does ventilation have to be higher at ceiling level?
Our winters in Northern Ontario Canada get very cold -30
I'm wondering if I keep cleaning off poop boards through the winter as I do deep litter with the rest of the coop...I don't think the chickens will stir it up there and not much room for me to do it either
Not sure if something wrong with a few of my hens- rooster too actually... missing tail feathers and some in behind- the Roos legs are a bit bare on inside.... egg production hasn't changed

my 10 new pullets have bee sleeping under my poop board instead of up on the roost. The first night I went out at dusk and lifted a couple up onto them but they can back down...I took the lowest roost out cause it was too small I think. Any suggestions? The top roost is about 10" from the wall...
