    Bump between toes

Is this concerning. My older children are very observant (yay!), and they noticed this between the toes of one of our hens. Thoughts? Should we do something?

    BLRW chick sex?

We live in TN, pretty warm in summer, moderate in spring and fall, quite cold in winter. I suppose I could wait a bit. I do have a small dog kennel to keep one in while in coop, and maybe they'd leave each other alone? I'm a newbie with chickens, so I don't know much.

    BLRW chick sex?

We can keep one. We live out in country and they run around our yard. This Wyandotte so far is friendly and likes to sit on knees and lie down next to whoever is sitting in the grass. The CG is older, but runs all out when he hears us coming. I like them both (so far)! It's hard to pick...

    BLRW chick sex?

Anyone know temperament of Blue Laced Red Wyandotte roo vs California Gray roo? I know we have a CG roo, and this BLRW looks like a roo but hasn't crowed. Thoughts on each breed rooster?

    BLRW chick sex?

Sigh. 10 chicks, 2 have been roosters. I don't even know what to do with them.

    BLRW chick sex?

Several weeks ago, I posted oics of this chick, and everyone thought it was a roo, but to post a couple weeks later with more pics. The pink in its comb is the same as 2 to 3 weeks ago. Now the chick is 9 or 10 weeks old. Thoughts now?

    Lethargic 8 week old

What about our older 4 month olds? They have been around the babies. Babies are in small movable run and biggers are around them.

    Lethargic 8 week old

Hi all, newbie here. We have an 8 week old that started yesterday to be a bit lethargic. Her wings are hanging some today. We noticed her eating and drinking a bit. A couple days ago we noticed blood in their run, but after inspecting all chicks, didn't see any wounds. Today we noticed what...

    Wyandotte Roo or Hen

This Wyandotte chick is 6 weeks old. Any guesses on sex? Is this how a rose comb develops with the dimple at the top? The last pic is middle chick in back.

Sex of 8 week old chicks

I thought that was a rooster. Sigh. I didn't really want a rooster. I hope he doesn't turn mean on us. I'm glad to know the others are females!

Sex of 8 week old chicks

Anyone want to help with sex of chicks? In first pic, the California Gray on right. On second pic, the Buff Brahma.

    Dog bite, final healing help

We have a 7-week-old chick who was bit by our dog. Long story short, we were putting them outside in their oen 2 weeks ago, and didn't realize our dog was out. Our communication is good now, though. Anyway, her tail and side of tail was basically degloved and there was a clear bubble that...

    What breeds are these?

Thank you all so much! We had no idea what the yellow chick was, and are excited to know what she is. She is very outgoing and tries to get on top of us whenever she can. I'm really liking this chicken thing! I can see why people want to get more, haha.

    What breeds are these?

We are new chick owners! We chose different kinds, and we're not sure which is which now! We know they came from certain brooders, labeled California Gray, Cuckoo Marans, and the last we think was incorrectly labeled as Ancona. Maybe someone can help identify them? Let me know if you need...
