Several weeks ago, I posted oics of this chick, and everyone thought it was a roo, but to post a couple weeks later with more pics. The pink in its comb is the same as 2 to 3 weeks ago.

Now the chick is 9 or 10 weeks old. Thoughts now?

Anyone know temperament of Blue Laced Red Wyandotte roo vs California Gray roo? I know we have a CG roo, and this BLRW looks like a roo but hasn't crowed. Thoughts on each breed rooster?

Wyandottes are known to be standoffish. The roosters can sometimes be aggressive.
No clue on CG's.

We can keep one. We live out in country and they run around our yard. This Wyandotte so far is friendly and likes to sit on knees and lie down next to whoever is sitting in the grass. The CG is older, but runs all out when he hears us coming. I like them both (so far)!

It's hard to pick which one, though. :(

Where do you live? Wyandottes are better for colder climates.

Isn't that the typical coloring for a Blue laced red Wyandotte? It has a large comb but it isn't red.Can you hold off for another 2-3 weeks before deciding to dump him(???)

And Wyandotte is breed whereas California Grays are not.
