    Easter Egger Roo Southern OR

I ended up with a rooster out of the tractor supply chicks I got 4 months ago. He’s an Easter Egger, so far good disposition but I’m in town and can’t keep him. Located in Grants Pass OR but willing to drive to get him a new home. Thanks!

    Breed & sex?

These three are around 9 weeks old. I know the all brown one is an Easter egger and I’m pretty sure a girl. The others, I haven’t the foggiest. Input? Thanks!

Two six week old Easter Eggers?

Thanks for confirming that! Do you think they look like pullets?

Two six week old Easter Eggers?

I have a couple sweeties here that I think are both pullets but I’m a newbie and can’t tell with the brown one. Feed store impulse buys to add to my flock. Is it safe to name them Carole and Corona? Thanks!

    Is this a lash egg?

I didn’t see any yolk but some stuff came out that looked like white.

    Is this a lash egg?

Right, it definitely seems all soft shell, nothing gooey or otherwise. That tail part is also just a hollow soft shell thing. Thanks for bumping this!

    Is this a lash egg?

I noticed one of my hens was kind of isolating herself when I was giving the others some treats. Dragged her out from under the deck and gave her a once over. I noticed something coming out of her vent, and pulled this out. It seems like it’s all just a soft shelled egg, but now I’m worried it’s...

Please say this is a pullet...

Maybe an ameraucana? I don’t even think I spelled that right. So probably not but it’s all I can come up with.

Please say this is a pullet...

I tried looking back at the 3737739283748 chicken photos on my camera roll but can’t find any of this one’s comb at around 4 weeks. However it seems it had a nonexistent comb until this last week. I’m ultra paranoid because of the 10 chicks I got, 7 have turned out to be cockerels. Thanks for...

Please say this is a pullet...

Good idea on googling, I’ll do that. Call me crazy but chick gendering is more nerve wracking than finding out the sex of my two kids. These 4 chicks were sexed, 99% rate, so somehow I got the 1% which I guess is funny yet not.

Please say this is a pullet...

I’ve posted a lot in this forum because I’ve been winding up with a bunch of cockerels with this batch of chicks. I *thought* this one was safely a pullet until a few days ago when the beginnings of a pink comb started emerging. Please tell me this is okay. Born on Labor Day. It’s the brown one...

    Poopy Butts

Thanks for all the advice. I will be trimming and rinsing chickens today, I guess, ha! The 3 with the poopy butts are pretty docile so that helps. I really appreciate all the input, this website is such an amazing resource!

    Poopy Butts

I actually got my first poopy egg today. Is this an indicator of worms? Thanks for all the input!

    Poopy Butts

The past week I’ve noticed 3 of my 4 girls have poop stuck in a trail down the feathers on their bottoms. I’ve checked out their vents the best I could and I don’t see anything out of the ordinary. They free range all day and get some table scraps as well as freeze dried mealworms and crickets...

    Yet another cockerel?

6 out of 9. Rehoming them has proven challenging. I found one gal with an animal sanctuary who took a couple. The rest, I’m still looking. Argh! Crazy how they changed from looking so pullet like to giant pink combs so fast!

    Yet another cockerel?

I’ve been having terrible luck with getting cockerels this round. This one will be my 6th chick that’s probably a boy. It’s around 7-8 weeks old now. Another cockerel, right? Aside from the pink comb/wattles I’m seeing some black feathers coming in on the chest.

    2 Possible Roos: Bay Area!

We wound up with a couple of what I think are young cockerels. One is a Cuckoo Maran, hatched on Labor Day. The other is a Partridge Cochin, a little older by a couple weeks. Both are cute, handled daily and given the best care. We just aren’t up for keeping a rooster. Looking for new homes!
