I have a gqf hova bator, and there is one vent I always have kept open. When it is closed wouldnt the humidity drop way too low as the air humidity is in the right range? Running 99.6

I do not have any sort of bowl and have a turkey baster I stick through the vent in the top and put a spoonful of water in the bottom. How can you put more water in to prolong the affects and keep it not dry without raising the humidity too high?
