Are the Pilgrim fast to mature? The ones I have will hatch in the spring and are on a nest in the winter laying eggs... I like that! They are not overly aggressive except while nesting and with little goslings but still are not chasing anybody, just want you to keep a safe distance from them and...

I have had geese for 2 years and they are the easiest to raise in my experience. I have never offered a coop and was told from the previous owner they prefer to be outside. I do have covered nest boxes for them and they will (after locking them up for 3 weeks) use these to sleep in and of course...

That is Sugar and Magnolia When we moved here there was a ton of weeds and we were told to get goats... not how many, what kind or anything like that but just to get goats... 2 years later we have these two 'free' girls and know nothing about them except they had a damn good life before moving...

I am sure there is a thread about how to cull and pressure can chickens/geese but I am not finding it. I am new to the pressure canner (and new to butchering chickens and geese) and I don't have room in the freezer. How many chickens will I need to butcher to fill a canner with quart or 2 quart...
