    Swollen leg on Rooster

Okay thank you! I will give all of those a shot. He finished off the grower feed so I didn’t know if I needed to get more or if he liked picking at the hens food. The girls that he came with have fully switched to the layer pellets and I think one has made her first egg a few days ago.

    Swollen leg on Rooster

No he hasn’t had any respiratory symptoms. He was picking at the hens food which has layer pellets, egg shell, oyster shell, oatmeal, oregano, garlic, and a little of feather fixer food. He also free range and was given random treats of watermelon, sunflower seeds, cabbage, frozen peas, and...

    Swollen leg on Rooster

I have a young rooster, who is maybe 4 months old, who has a swollen leg. It looks like it is the joint part where the leg starts that is swollen. He was getting beat up by the ladies so he is currently separated. His foot is not swollen and I don’t see any scabs or cuts on his leg that would...

Help!!- My old chickens hate my new chickens

We tried to have grass but the killed it all within one weekend. I feel like it’s my one bully picking on...

Help!!- My old chickens hate my new chickens

Thank you! I’ll add pictures tomorrow. I’ll definitely try the pinless peepers as well. All of my girls fit across one roost. I have a second roost but none of them sleep on it. I also don’t have a door on my coop so they don’t have to wait for me to be let out to their run. I really don’t want...

Help!!- My old chickens hate my new chickens

Yes I can get pictures tomorrow. I originally had 8 chickens in my set up with two roosters with no problems so I assumed it would be okay with these ones.

Help!!- My old chickens hate my new chickens

I am not sure. We bought a coop in a box from Ace Hardware but then decided it wasn’t big enough so we doubled it in size. The original said it was big enough for 6 chickens. We also added a very large, enclosed run, but I let them out of the run every morning for the entire day.

Help!!- My old chickens hate my new chickens

Back story: I’m a pretty new chicken mom. I’ve had my first flock of chickens for a little over a year now. I started with 8, but then had two roosters that needed to be re-homed and then lost two to dogs. I was given 4 chickens who were about a month old in April. I have now been trying for...
