This is my chicken area. They free range daily and have access to the fenced in area including the space under the deck. There is another small room in the space under the deck to the left. We tried to have grass but the killed it all within one weekend. I feel like it’s my one bully picking on the two because they are roosters. No one has hurt the two new girls that were added at the same time. They seem to be okay in the flock just a little skittish. The boys (still don’t know if Phoenix is a rooster but I’m pretty sure he is) seem to get beat up during the day when they are all free ranging. They are currently separated.

I am definitely going to try the pinless peeper and we are adding another roost this weekend.

The cinnamon queen in front of the water is my bully.

Your coop is cute but is way too small for that many birds.
:(

8 chickens need 32sqft coop floor space MINIMALLY which could be 8ftX4ft not including the nests. They need 80sqft, again minimally, in the run which could be 8ftX10ft. They will need at least a foot of roost each. Keep in mind more is better.

How long did you keep the newbies in a see-no-touch introduction? You may want to keep them separated for a couple weeks. Give them treats by sprinkling it all around the edge of the separating fence both inside and out. This forces them to eat together and to associate this with a pleasant thing, treats! They are social animals and eating is a huge part of that social connection.

That rooster just needs time to grow, he is a young cockerel and hens usually don't put up with them at that age. But when he's got some months under him and become of age, he'll soon do the butt kicking and those bully hens will learn to respect him afterwards and peace will come upon the flock. Just takes time, for now I will isolate the roosters until they are older and show confidence, then I will introduce them to the flock and let them play out the pecking order.
