Rhode Islanders with backyard chickens- where are you?

Moving to the area in the next 6 months and would love to know about your backyard chickens. Looking at Riverside/Rumford and Cranston mainly, but definitely want to move somewhere where we can continue to have hens in the backyard.

    Protecting the existing flock

Neighbor's dog burrowed a hole underneath the fence separating our yards, killing two chickens and injuring a third. This was my first flock, so I was hit hard to see my birds suffer, then die in front of my eyes. There are four left, including the injured Australorp. I have a .3 acre...

Anyone want to guess the breed I have here?

Thanks! I'm happy to have blue/green eggs to look forward to! Keeping my fingers crossed that it's a hen. And no worries about the cat. As small as they are, they already showed her who was boss when she ventured too close. Now she wants nothing to do with them.

Anyone want to guess the breed I have here?

I bought three chicks today, two of which I know are Black Australorps. The third was an impulse buy, and I didn't even think to ask why type it was. This is my first time trying to upload pictures, so I hope they show up! Front view: Top view:
