Hello, i have a male mallard duck that’s almost a year old. He likes to play with me and follow me around, he does to the same to my dad. But weirdly when I pet him he doesn’t like it. Only the belly u can pet, he will allow you to do that but why he doesn’t like to be pet around his body?

My male mallard duck is having some weird things happing to himself. he is almost a year old now. There is white spots around his green head near the eyes and beak. His beak is all dried on the sides. And his feet are pretty dried. Is he okay? Thanks
