Anyone who loves to Crochet?
My latest project is a crochet along. Loving the texture. I'm planning to end it at crib size and start another one in different colors. -

Oh, and I have another batch of eggs coming. I had won tux eggs about a week after the jumbo/mix eggs and Zach lost my order. They just got sent this week. My daughter, Dolly, loves the tux color and we only have the one. Those will be set tomorrow or Friday. -

Good morning all! I've been busy with family all week. I have a house full of kids, grandkids, parents, and cousins :eek: My poor quail aren't getting any attention. I'm pretty sure I had 62 successfully hatch, two that died, so 60 left. I need to check egg shells and see what all did... -

12 more in the brooder today. I have a couple oddballs that I might have to put down. This one is just flailing around on it's back. It seems the late Hatcher's always have problems. -

Mine are 6 weeks and it's pretty obvious by voice. I have a bunch of girls and they are LOUD first thing when they see me. lol Boys are so quiet. -

can you get Damp Rid? We used both the hanging bags and a small plastic bowl one when I worked at the hotel nearby. I live in a very damp area. -

No Rattlers here, but tons of garter snakes. I probably run across 3 every day in the spring and early summer. Now I'm only seeing them a few times a week.- ketojenn

Ducks are laying eggs in pond!!
gawd, I home mine don't do that, their pond is kinda deep :fl I agree with above, keep them penned up for a couple hours in the morning. I lock mine up at night, even though they gripe and complain the whole time, then I let them out around 6:30 in the a.m. Might have to change that once they... -

Underfed or just still growing?
Certain birds are probably keeping them from the food. When I process birds I always find some with a lot of fat that obviously never missed a meal and some that are quite lean. I watched certain birds bully others away from the feed. I had a turkey that would go from feeder to feeder and...- ketojenn

Pulled my quitters. Also discovered a bad egg that had burst. :sick This is what happens when you forget to check the incubators all week. 19 quitters or bad eggs pulled. I'll have to get a final lockdown count when I get home tonight.
