    One "evil" quail (extremely aggressive)

I'm just shocked that it was kind of sudden. She was ok the first week or so when she was here. Then it seemed like all of a sudden she started becoming really aggressive. Maybe it really is the horomones

    One "evil" quail (extremely aggressive)

We just separated her at the moment. I don't know why she became so aggressive all of a sudden. The previous owner said they were all fine and were laying consistently in the beginning. I guess rehoming her is the only option at the moment

    One "evil" quail (extremely aggressive)

Hello everyone, I have 5 cute coturnix quails. I've had them for about 3 weeks now. They were adults when I got them and got along fine. However over the three weeks one quail has gone absolute psycho. Their cage is 2.5x5 ft which is plenty of space I think. This one crazy quail first started...

Who's laying the dark brown egg that keeps getting darker??

Yes definitely a fun adventure! I do think it was the leghorn laying doubles. It was two small white eggs instead of her usual relatively large eggs!

Who's laying the dark brown egg that keeps getting darker??

Hi everyone! I've been diligently watching the chickens the past few days. I seems that the brown chicken is indeed a Welsummer! We haven't found 2 white eggs ever since! I guess that was the end of the mystery haha

Who's laying the dark brown egg that keeps getting darker??

The blue one has clean legs (I think you're talking about the suspected jersey giant). My mom has suspicions that the "jersey giant" is the one laying the spotted eggs because she's the only one that really hangs out under the coop. And the dark brown eggs are always under the coop. The other...

Who's laying the dark brown egg that keeps getting darker??

I actually have no idea! I'm new to chickens, I just got them from a feed store. She kind of looks maran ish. Ahh ok yeah no white earlobes as far as I can tell. It would kind of solve the mystery since Welsummers lay dark brownish eggs. But I have days where I pick up two white eggs, then...

Who's laying the dark brown egg that keeps getting darker??

Is it possible that my Brown Leghorn is a Welsummer..? Here's a picture of my brown leghorn. But it doesn't make sense because sometimes we pick up 2 white eggs at a time.

Modesto Millings Game Bird Starter vs Grower/Adult

I'm thinking about getting quails so I started looking for a food that is organic. Their starter is 28% protein while their grower/Adult is 20% Should I feed the quails the starter formula their whole life? Or transition? Or mix half and half which will give a protein of 24%?

New to chickens! Breed and gender ID on 4 chickens

The cockerel actually doesnt really interact with me at all so I've been leaving him alone the past few weeks. He's very aloof and derpy. Kind of slow honestly. I'm glad I didn't push any type of training on him!

New to chickens! Breed and gender ID on 4 chickens

I've been training these little chickens to fly onto my hand. They usually fly up, then i let them onto a perch. The brahma always refuses to get off my hand and just settles down. She then kind of puffs up and kind of dozes off as I pet her. She's so sweet!

New to chickens! Breed and gender ID on 4 chickens

The foot bottoms are yellow I believe. I knew she was actually a he! That's a real shame. Hopefully there aren't anymore cockerels... I'm glad the Brahma is female, shes my favorite!

New to chickens! Breed and gender ID on 4 chickens

Hello everyone, This is my first time owning chickens and it's been quite a journey. I believe these little birds are about 4-6 weeks old. I'm not sure what breed they are. They were bought at a feed store and they're hatchery sexed as females. Here they are at about 1-2 weeks old This is...
