Hello everyone,

This is my first time owning chickens and it's been quite a journey. I believe these little birds are about 4-6 weeks old. I'm not sure what breed they are. They were bought at a feed store and they're hatchery sexed as females.

Here they are at about 1-2 weeks old

This is how they look now:
My favorite one is the one with leg feathers! She's so friendly and likes cuddles and pets. I believe shes some sort of Brahma chicken?

I believe this one is a White Leghorn?

I have no idea what this brown one is.

Not sure of the black one either.

You have a dark brahama pullet (its not male coloring)
Yes, a leghorn. Too early to sex.
the brown chipmunk one may be a brown leghorn... if the ear lobes are white that's what it is. Too early to sex.
The black one could be an austrolorp or a black jersey giant. What color are his foot bottoms? pink/whitish is Austrolorp and yellow is black jersey giant. and yes, I'm afraid he's a cockerel, given the size and bright pinkness of that comb.

The foot bottoms are yellow I believe. I knew she was actually a he! That's a real shame. Hopefully there aren't anymore cockerels...

I'm glad the Brahma is female, shes my favorite!

My dark brahma is really sweet. Usually. She's broody right now, and I don't have anything for her to hatch. She's actually a sweet broody too. No pecking when I pick her up to move her, just the floof and the growl.

I've been training these little chickens to fly onto my hand. They usually fly up, then i let them onto a perch. The brahma always refuses to get off my hand and just settles down. She then kind of puffs up and kind of dozes off as I pet her. She's so sweet!

I would stop doing that with the cockerel. You have to treat them completely differently than you do pullets. One that's raised close to the hand tends to be more human aggressive.

The cockerel actually doesnt really interact with me at all so I've been leaving him alone the past few weeks. He's very aloof and derpy. Kind of slow honestly. I'm glad I didn't push any type of training on him!
