Chicken Wire and Chicken Heads Necks

well re-checking everything-- I was wrong. I have 1/4 inch hardware cloth I plan on using for an apron & 1 inch chicken wire I want to just put from the bottom of the coop to 2 ft tall so my chickens don't stick out their heads. Most of them don't but we have one called "Dummy" and she does just...

chickens comb color? hope this is the right forum?

well.. we do live in South Carolina so of course it is warm, lol. 'warm' being only the 80s. We have a thermometer that is monitored in the house so they don't get past about 82 w/o us intervening. The other chickens do not have paler combs so maybe it is the breed; or at least this particular...

my neighbor lost 4 horses when the neighbor had his lawn sprayed. She had autopsy on one and it had liver damage. I would get the remaining hens away from the sprayed yard for awhile and ask the company where it was sprayed--and never have it sprayed again. A few dandelions and clover etc...

The rooster has...

I have 3; a rooster--gorgeous! 2 hens--one of which has a lighter comb. She is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. We've nicknamed her 'dummy' and we always have to look for her as she is always a few minutes late to the party. Also she seems incapable of figuring out where the door to the...

Chicken Wire and Chicken Heads Necks

Can a chicken stick its head through chicken wire? I'd like to put some around the bottom of my dawg kennel/chicken run. A couple of them like to stick their heads through the chain link will chicken wire stop that?
