I don't think so, from my understanding, Carole wasn't sire if the hen from Susan ever laid, so she got hens elsewhere. When I bought caroles birds, I only kept the birds she got from Susan, the others I sold as layers...they looked more hatchery stock to me.
I am asking $100 for the trio. The rooster is two and has been shown. The pullets are under a year. I may ship, but would have to check into it. I do have some Partridge.
Hi everyone,
I have a few nice Show prospects for sale. If you are interested these birds are nearly full grown and look fantastic. asking $50.00 each. Central Florida PICK UP ONLY!
The "Brow to me makes the beak have what dog people call a "Stop" a two piece head or what brahma people call a "Beetle Brow" Like on this Dark hen of mine....
The head should also have a shorter beak..
I wasn't put off by his Type...actually (not sure where you got the Dark Roo) but his coloring looks to be nice. I like his comb my biggest issue is his head...I'm a bit of a head snob...He needs much more "brow". The red in the black on a young cockeral is normal. I typically find a correlation...
Big Medicine, birds are looking good. I do see one major fault for me...no feathers down the middle toe...While you have avoided the VH issue, you are missing a piece of the Brahma Standard. Do you find this eay to fix? I run into it occassionally with dark chicks and cull them.
Thoughts?
Janice, love the blues...I have one black pullet I just cannot let go of, if she stays in this track, she is going to be a dynamite hen. The rest of mine appear to be roosters. My blue partridge pullets I got from you is mostly blue at the moment. Cutting down my flock to just my absolute best...
I will be heading up with a quad of hatchery dark Brahmas, lots of partridge Brahma pullets, and some black Brahma chicks. Looking forward to this swap again...
