    Breed for one, gender on the other.

    I have a dark Brahma that was supposed to be a pullet, but I’m thinking based on the coloring that it’s a cockerel. However, I don’t see pointed hackle/saddle feathers. The other one, I know is a pullet, but I have no idea what breed she is. Or how old she is. I do know she lays small/medium...

    Lavender Orpingtons - is there an easier way to tell gender?

    A few weeks ago, I picked up about 40 Orpingtons from someone on Craigslist. Most of which are Lavendar’s, a couple black, and a couple blue/white (best guess) and black/white. Is there an easily way of telling if it’s a cockerel or pullet aside from comb/waddle growth? They are all mixed ages...

    Is this sour crop??

    I woke up this morning to one of my chickens with a baseball sized “lump” on her neck. It doesn’t look like her crop area but closer to her head. Please help!

    Age, breed, pulley/cockerel?!

    We bought these chickens from an auction last night, unsure of age, type or gender.. They all have feathered feet. I think one or maybe even two may be a cockerel (sigh) Any ideas?

    Unsure of gender/breed....help?!

    hi there! New here! I bought what were labeled as Black Copper Marans at an auction back in April, and while I think that two of them are definitely, I’m not sure of the breed or gender. I think they are about 16 weeks old.
