I don't claim to actually know anything, but I have left eggs in the nest at least that long and eaten them. I'm still alive. I use them first though just to make sure. Buuuuuut....If anything ever looks or seems off and/ or your spidey-senses go off when you crack an egg, don't do it...
Dreadful creatures!! I'm amazed at how strong they are. The last problem raccoon I had straight up ripped the hardware cloth away from the 2x4 and got in. I have improved my pen but now I'm having second thoughts that I did enough.
Very exciting! Don't they understand that ducks are special and not for them to just help them selves:hit. I have plenty of squirrels in my yard they can have:plbb

How could I resist? I have "spied" on this site for years. Might as well jump in. I almost gave up on ducks after the raccoon wiped me down to one. But they are just too much fun and they make me smile every day so now that I am rid of the blasted raccoon, I am back in business.
I picked up this handsome Cayuga drake at a poultry swap this morning. I had no intention of getting A Drake, but he was so beautiful, and his owners clearly cared that he went to a good home and I could not resist. I am thrilled! After picking up another three hens to add to the three I...
