    Bossy Chickens!

We are about 3 hours east of Brady. And yes, so very much rain! Thankfully we have not had any flooding on our property, but that's not to say it couldn't happen. The ground, lakes and creeks are full! Hopefully ya'll have been safe too!

    Bossy Chickens!

So do mine. I let the feeder run out ever couple of day so I can clean the feeder with less waste. I was just curious how others do things and if I had extra vocal chickens. Thanks for input!

    Bossy Chickens!

Oh, yes they forage too! Just very vocal when they want more feed. They are pretty health looking but not over weight, I don't think. How would I be able to tell? They all look great to me! My 3 RI Reds and 2 Barred Rock ladies have a big fenced yard with trees and grass and plants. I don't officially free range because there are no leash laws in our area and folks out here...

We have 5 chickens, 2 heifers, 1 cow and a dog. We just love it! I especially love my chickens! I had no idea that...

    Hey Y'all

My family live in Central Texas and just move out to the country about a year ago. We have had our chickens for about 6 months and I am totally in love with them! We have 5 hens total: 2 Barred Rocks and 3 Rhode Island Reds. We have 2 heifers, 1 cow and dog as well. I am super excited to join...

    Pokeberries, ugh! Not an emergency...

This is not an emergency but I wasn't sure where to post a health type of question. It seems that a few of my girls started eating pokeberries. All 5 of my hens look and act totally fine but there was a bright red-ish purple liquid in the coop directly below the roost and one of my Barred...
