How do i treat vent gleet??

hi, I found one of my hens (she's an australorp x cochin) in the nesting box with poop and white/yellow mucus coming from her vent. inside it, there's what looks like puss-filled pockets all around, and lots of swelling. it definitely stinks, like rotting animal. I've also noticed over the past...

    Day 21- 2 hatched 4 HAVENT pipped

In my experience, if they dont hatch by day 22, you should assist. Gently saw the egg on the air cell with a serrated knife until you can peel the outer membrane with the shell ONLY IN THE AIR CELL not near the chick or the inner membrane. With warm water on your finger or a q tip, gently smear...

My birds have been sick with some sort of respritory illness in the past 2 months. I tried treating with tetracycline, but it only helped. Ever since I've researched, ive seen tylan 200. chicken cut her comb

If its bleeding, you can put corn starch on it, if it's not, it should heal on it's own.

    Tetracycline

I'm treating my babies with tetracycline, and disregarded the 5 day egg thing, and let my parents eat the eggs. They were terribly sick in the stomach area for a few hours. However, there was also some eggs in the mix that yolk sacks were wrinkly and loose. Those eggs were laid on may 28 and 26...

    Beak trimming

Unfortunately, my leghorn has been debeaked when she was young. She now has severe underbite to the point I feel it limits her ability to eat. I feel I should sand down the lower part of her beak sp she can eat better. Thoughts?

    Cough

So I just got myself 2 new ready to lay leghorns. They look like they were debeaked when they were young. Their combs are huge, but pale and floppy. They are coughing and sneezing, and sound like they are constantly snoring. They are very shy, but still have a small appetite for layer crumbles...

    Sick baby!!!!

There might be. But she hasn't been near the pine shavings for 2 days. I'm thinking the silkie died because I let him out to see my other rooster and hens, and my rooster pecked him. I'm not sure where, but he screamed. A few days later he died.
