Yeah we were concerned about the egg thing as well but she did lay a egg this morning. I am assuming it's a sprain and keeping her isolated until improvement.
Okay, yeah I have checked her all over and didnt see a wound. I didnt think it could be a slipped tendon its just weird how she was locked up and then the next morning upon unlocking I noticed it.
I have a 5 year old duck. That i noticed struggling to walk yesterday so I brought her inside, she can't walk at all and when she tries she has to support her legs with her wing. Her right leg she refuses to put weight on. While shes in the bath tub soaking she uses it to scratch her head, still...
So that part pictured is part of the infection that needs removed. Should we possible take a knife to it? We have tried with our fingers after soaking and it does not seem to budge
Bad case of bumblefoot
We have a rooster with a pretty bad case of bumblefoot I assume. We noticed him limping a few days ago so checked his foot and he had large hard brown scab taking up almost his whole foot pad (didn’t take pic but looked like typical bumblefoot). We tore off the scab top...
I will get pictures tomorrow, she is able to move around now, and eating and drinking and I am putting a multi vitamin in her little water dish, she is inside with another chick in a tote. She eats and drinks okay, just weird how it suddenly popped up, we had a duck have it and it wasn't a...

Thank you, we gave her some tums, some alfalfa they like to eat and some calcium glucosamine. Soaked her last night at 2 am and woke up to two eggs, one was a soft shell and one was normal. She seemed back to normal afterwards and went back outside grazing.
We have never had a chicken with a soft shell egg, but I guess it could be possible. The chicken while in the tub did poop out some green poop. So that is a plus but she has been acting down since, she did take a huge leap out of the tub, so I am hoping that doesn't mean she could have cracked...
Noticed this afternoon a chicken puffed up and not responding to me tossing out some food like the others, she seems to be a little more solid by her vent area. We got inside gave her a warm bath, she did poop out a green poop while in the bath, but still acting very docile, gave her food and...
Okay thank you, I noticed it at like 330 this afternoon and she is still doing it as of now, at midnight but other then that she seems to eat and everything. We took food from her for the night and just gave her water.
I unlocked my chickens today, they seem to have no issues and when I went outside to unlock them I came across a chicken acting normal but her wheezing sounds terrible, I don't know what it would be. My first thought was respiratory infection, so we brought her inside in a dark bedroom. I was...
