They are soo good, flavorful and healthy too. They are definitely bigger than a quail. In fact one of the squabs i dressed last season weighed 760 grams.
Where are you from? How many pairs are you planning to keep? I am from New Jersey and our farm is in upstate New York. I raise utility White Kings and Silver King Pigeons.

Wow! They are beautiful. Just the right flock size for a household i think. I am sure you get a steady supply of good quality eggs. Bec they are free ranged. I mean orangy yolk and firm egg whites. Right? Soo much different from grocery store eggs. the ones they call cage free are not even close.
Icelandics are winter hardy. Great from where we are in upstte NY. They forage well and still continue to lay eggs in the winter. Btw, Where are you from?
Thanks!
I have a few pairs of regular white homers that i use as foster parents. Yes We also have chickens. Silver laced wyandottes, black australorp and icelandic chickens for eggs.
Hello there! I am new to BYC. A homesteader in upstate NY and currently breeding Utility White King and Siver King pigeons. My birds just started breeding for spring and hopefully I can get them going until late fall this year.
Thanks very much! I added more breeding pairs of white utility kings and silver utility kings for this season. Hopefully I can get them going until fall. They are soo beautiful to watch.
