He passed away roughly 15 minutes ago. He was with the whole flock which has 5 cockerels, him included, that we know of for sure. Two of those are mad smaller than him. I didn't see any injuries on him what so ever.
As for getting into something, there is a chance. We have nightshade species...
Okay, so I am home now and looking at him. He isn't seizing, it seems he is trying to stand up but all he does is flop from one side to the other and flap his wings. He hasn't opened his eyes nor can he lift his head at all. He's got thick mucus in his mouth but it doesn't stink at all. His comb...
One of my roosters, Geek Mode, is very lethargic, is having seizures and is drooling mucus according to my son (I'm not there, I'm at work trying to fix my car). His poop is dark green and not runny and the picture he sent of his comb doesn't look pale. Does anyone know what could possibly be...
Maybe a day, if that. They all came in the same shipment. So I'd imagine not that much of a difference. He/she still hasn't started getting in any other feathers. It's like the outside edge wing feathers came in and it just stopped all feather growth.
I purchased 3 frizzle Cochin Bantams roughly a month ago. Two of them have gotten a lot of adult feathers (wings, back, body and tail stub) but one of the has only gotten a few wing feathers. The rest of it's body is just baby fluff.
I was wondering if this is normal? Am I missing something...
Here's more pictures that were taken today of Tiger. I'm seriously leaning towards cockerel with him. The last picture is of his "sister" (same age/breed).
I honestly thought she/he was a hen until that comb turned that bright red. The other has more of a tan/fleshy pink color and it doesn't seem to be as wide as Tiger's (the bird in question). I will post more pics of the combs at 8 weeks too.
Okay so I'm curious as to if this ameraucana (or possible EE) is a roo or hen. They are 5 weeks and 3 days the day these pictures were taken. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!
First three pics are of the bird in question. The last two are of the same breed and age added for comparison.
