Sorry that their not chickens but its a thing that i guess chickens have to.
I brought a pair of fancy pigeons two days ago. One is limping and when i looked closer i saw lumps of what i think is dirt on the end of his toes. He almost never stands on that leg. Whats wrong with him.
Sorry for the bad writing but this is what i mean:
I have two chickens that every night are put in there small rabbit coop. In the morning i take them out and put a bowl of food with them, they are very happy spending there time in my garden. The WILD Guinea fowl come and eat all the food that...
Every single day i take my chickens (free range ones) and some of there food and every day the guinea fowl come and eat all there food.
So is there anyway i could keep them away?
They are about the same size as my chickens.
I would not use any poisons or anything like that. Unless you live in a area with pythons and boa the chances are that the smell the chicks and investigate i find loads of mice or rats that keep them there. So rather set up mice traps. Also don't kill any snake you find.
I brought these yesterday, at a pet\\farm shop in i must say a rather dodgy part of town.
They were the young chick i could find in cape town. They woman told me they were 'kukulas'. No never hear of them either and i don't think they exist because that is similar to the Zulu and isiXhosa word...
I have a friend that has a big flock of free range bantams with about 4 dogs on his property. He has never had a problem.
Could i get some with my dogs if they have never met a chicken before?
I have:
Mice, 8 of them, well i don't think i should tell you what there used for.

Here in South African there loads of them running wild.
I can tell u his.
1. there bloody stupid to be honest.
2.Almost impossible to tame.
3. yes noisy
4. and from my experiences there really aggressive to chickens, always biting them.
We in this case i think i will just make a roof, as much as i want to shoot the pest with my pellet gun i don't think its legal to shoot hawks and owls.
I am going to soon bet a pair of them, i have done loads of resach im just checking that there is nothing that book will not tell me?
That i should know about them.
