Injured (?) baby chick not using leg and laying on side

We have a young silkie hatched Feb 23 (now is March 13) and was in with a second one. She is now segregated. One morning (about 5 days ago) I went to check on them and she was laying down on her side and doesn’t want to use one of her legs so she kind of shuffled around and pokes it out on...

I absolutely love waterfowl and would like to add some into my flock of chickens. I love Cayugas and I love black East Indies as well, but I also love American buff geese, pilgrim geese and Sebastopols. I’m looking for something that will be friendly and cute but also get along very well with my...

Broken or dislocated leg on a 2 day old chick

She’s been in the brooder but hasn’t been able to get both feet under her, we had to boot her feet due to curly toe but it seems as though one of her legs is broken or dislocated. It’s swollen and the joint is huge and unaligned and rough, she can only drink if I give her a syringe and is really...

So she’s half partridge silkie half black copper maran... but she’s having some trouble. She hatched out on her own, but she had curly toe, so we got her some little...

it’s really weird- doesn’t act like a cockerel at all. I have it in with 2 small Ameraucana chicks that are about 2 weeks old (the Cemani is about 11-12 weeks old) but will move them around and coo to them and with sit on top of them as well

Pasty butt...I think. I need cures!

Giving the whole flock the water won’t hurt, when I hatch out chicks they get an electrolyte in their water for the first day. Just gives them a lovely little boost!

Pasty butt...I think. I need cures!

Oh totally, make sure to give her lots of the electrolyte drink and give her as much as she needs, give it to her every few hours or as much as possible until she’s as energetic or more energetic than the others, she will live a long happy little chicken life, works every time, I’ve never lost a...

Pasty butt...I think. I need cures!

just look for her getting really sleepy, while the others run and play she sleeps, if shes sleeping more than others and doesnt seem to be growing as fast, or even if not, electrolytes are amazing for chicks, I've had them on death row and electrolytes and booty baths brought him back within the...

Pasty butt...I think. I need cures!

Besides the fact of it being a little bald it looks fine, it’s not enflamed, or enlarged. My guess is the others or herself are picking her fluff out because the poop was on there, be sure to keep her little bum clean so her fluff has time to come back. Is she lethargic at all?

    Sexing Chicks

There are the pictures of their combs, they are labeled. Tiny and Maran 1 seem to have copper flecks in their wing feathers I don’t know if that means anything, they were the only Marans with them. Tiny was a runt Black Cooper maran, she/he hatched out half the size of the rest.
