What next? I think my chicken has a respiratory disease

Similar but not quite. It’s more of a wheezing. Also I could hear a raspiness when she is calm and breathing.

What next? I think my chicken has a respiratory disease

Thank you, I did isolate. No other symptoms, no new birds. I did clean the coop again just in case, put all new bedding and spray it down with vinegar/water mix. Gave the isolated bird VetRx

Chicken is wheezing, not sure what to do. It’s constant. Seems to be eating ok. But the wheezing sounds bad. What am I supposed to do? Isolate her?

    Black on comb

no roosters, just hens. 14 of them that have been together since chicks. We have been 50s during the day but some nights are 29-low 40s lately. Their coops is draft free but I was worried that it could be frost bite or fowl pox

    Black on comb

On my amberlink I noticed this the other day. It seems to be a little worse today. My husband thinks it’s dried blood but it’s hard to tell. I check on them everyday and haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. The only thing that has changed recently is we are starting to have colder...

    abnormal eggshell color

Ok thank you! So the bloom sometimes can cause the egg to have a different color? This hasn’t happened yet...also I was under the impression the bloom washes off? That’s why the chalky color is a mystery to me

Chickens approaching egg laying age but seem to be losing feathers on the daily

My brown leg horn has the biggest comb by far! I am sure she is a hen because the roos are so distinct looking and she looks like a classic brown leghorn hen. Her comb has come in large and in charge haha. So i assume she will be the first to lay. I haven't seen any other signs yet. I let them...

Chickens approaching egg laying age but seem to be losing feathers on the daily

Also I have read mixed information about when to start them on layer feed. Some say first egg, some say first egg or 18 weeks whichever comes first and it's best to transition them correct?

Chickens approaching egg laying age but seem to be losing feathers on the daily

I bought chicks at the beginning of March and they ranged from 4 days to almost 9 days old. We are now approaching 18-19 weeks old and I've read so many different things on when they lay their first egg. Some say as early as 17 weeks and as late as 23 weeks. I have several different breeds (...
