Black on comb

On my amberlink I noticed this the other day. It seems to be a little worse today. My husband thinks it’s dried blood but it’s hard to tell. I check on them everyday and haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. The only thing that has changed recently is we are starting to have colder temps. Otherwise she acts normal. Anyone tell me if this is the dreaded blue comb or something else I need to be super concerned with? Thanks in advance

Has it been cold where you are? Could be frostbite

Or it could be fowl pox

Or injury... Do you have a roosters and pullets/hens?

Where are you located? Depending how cold looks to be frostbite, or injury.

How big is the coop where she stays? Does she roost near the roof? I agree it could be pecking injury, injury from running into fencing, but frostbite can occur if the comb gets wet or there is humidity from breathing, and temps are below freezing. Sometimes more pictures can help.

no roosters, just hens. 14 of them that have been together since chicks. We have been 50s during the day but some nights are 29-low 40s lately. Their coops is draft free but I was worried that it could be frost bite or fowl pox

lowest it got was 20s but it hasn’t really stay that way. Been mostly in the 40s-50s middle tennessee

I don’t know, that looks like bite marks to me...I can see two cuts at the back that look like beak marks. Pecking order can change over time

Do an on site search on 'favus'. To me it looks like an injured comb with the possibility of a favus infection.
